Ms. Munira Akhtar, DPME, DSE

Ms. Munira is responsible for continuous up-gradation of the training and course content. She maintains the quality of Montessori course materials and works with a keen aim to see all children benefiting from the Montessori Method. Ms. Munira is the Course Director for International Montessori Teacher Training Centre - Kochi & Kannur Chapter.

Ms. Munira Akhtar is a leading figure in early childhood education with over three decades of experience in the Montessori philosophy. Her career began with a strong belief in the Montessori philosophy, earning her Primary Montessori Diploma from AMI, Holland, and a specialization in inclusive education from KPAMRC.

She worked with Ms. Meenakshi Sivaramakrishnan at IMTC Bangalore (1992-1998) and contributed at HeadStart Montessori. As Principal at Little Feat Montessori House of Children (2000-2014), she created nurturing environments fostering academic and emotional growth.

In 2014, she founded Montessorians United to expand Montessori education across tier 2 & 3 cities in India. Her work has empowered over 2000 young girls through education and skill development. She has also actively worked with special needs children and serves on the advisory panel of ILM Montessori House of Children.
